The Skinny
Wow. Two months and a day since my last post. To say I’ve been preoccupied would be the understatement of the century.
In the last month I have had a birthday, moved, and traveled three out of the last four weeks for work. The month prior to that was spent searching for a place to live, touring places, and anxiously waiting to see if where I wanted to live would come through.
However, I really can’t complain. My living situation could not be more ideal. Moving was a breeze with the help of my amazing family and friends. And travel {for work} took me here:

Yes, I am lucky indeed. However, I am SO ready to spend a week in Kansas City hanging out with my friends, settling into my new digs, and sleeping in my own bed. Oh, and hopefully getting some new posts up on this guy. : )
Exposed Light

Would you check out these beauties?
The Menlo Park Lamp(s) are created by the folks over at The Dapper Llama. (Love the shop name!) She makes clay figurines and he makes these lamps. They can be customized to your liking; you can pick out the wood, how many bulbs you prefer, what switches you like, and so on and so forth.
I’m a big fan of the clean simplicity of these lights. If I had a man friend and he had a desk, I would encourage him to put this guy on it.
West Elm Rugs

It’s NYFW and I’m posting about rugs, go figure.
Having total rug envy over the West Elm inventory right now. There are SO many delicious choices. How does one pick? I love the versatility that a rug offers versus carpet. In case you were wondering, I HATE carpet. Seriously. If you’ve ever had to pull that stuff up, I’m sure you can relate. I don’t care if you have a Dyson, people, carpet is n-a-s-t-y.
Get some wood, concrete, or tile floors and throw a rug on it. Voila! Instant make-over. And if you get bored, it can be easily changed. Who doesn’t love that?!
BTW, the Kite Kilim Rug is my favorite, and my birthday is at the end of March… you know, just throwin’ out some ideas… :)
24-Karat Gold Nails.
Just tried the new Sally Hansen Salon Effects stick-on nail polish this evening. Yes, that’s what I was doing during the Super Bowl. What’s football got to offer me?
Anyway, thoroughly impressed. These nails are badass. Took my own picture for once because their marketing is terrible. I can’t let terrible marketing mess up the good thing I have going here.
Try it, ladies. Sooner rather than later. They have TONS of different designs to choose from.
