Amy Handley

Traveler. Clothing Admirer. Yoga Practicer. Tea Drinker. Shoe Stasher. Lover of Books & Dogs.

One of the greatest things about Fall is not only the changing leaves and weather, but also the chance to change your wardrobe up by layering clothing and switching to closed-toe shoes, namely, boots!
Now, I don’t often put my flaws out for all to see, but I have to admit that Fall and Winter are not my best dressed seasons. Blame it on the weather. Blame it on the snow. Blame it on the al-al-al-al-al-alcohol. (I couldn’t help myself.)
Anyway, dear readers, I generally suck at dressing for these seasons, but I am armed and ready this year. Determination and self-discipline will prevail and I will have not only a fabulous Fall and Winter, but also a fashionable one.
One of the major investments that I was lacking for these seasons was… you guessed it!… BOOTS!
So, I took the plunge this year. Specifically while employed at a fashion retailer that offered a nice little discount and bought myself two pairs of boots, and since…?
Boot mayhem. Pandora’s box has been opened.
I’m actually considering starting a support group of which my opening line will be, “My name is Amy and I’m addicted to boots.”
So, here is the latest addiction: the Frye ‘Carmen’ Harness Short Boot
It’s an updated, more feminine version of the classic Frye Harness boot.
And, yes, I’ve already imagined all the use I would get out of them, but as my bestie, Sara, so smartly put it, “Uh, shouldn’t you like, uhm, wear the boots you have and haven’t worn yet first?”
Touché, Sara, Touché.
