Teepee

One of my most beloved memories is a camping trip that I had the great pleasure of taking with dear friends last Spring. We talk about it often amongst ourselves and hope to have a repeat of it again this Spring.
It was one of those perfect moments in my life. Great friends, great food, great weather, great stories, and a live fiddle player to boot!
I love the idea of going on a camping trip again and shacking up in luxury teepees. Ones that have featherbed floors & copious amounts of pillows. Teepees large enough for everyone to sprawl out in and tell stories and drink red wine. Wouldn’t it be lovely?
Teepees always remind me of the forts I used to build in my room as a little girl. I had this great four-poster bed that had the perfect bones for fort building. I would dutifully gather all the pillows and blankets of the household and line them up for the task at hand. I would then set about securing the top blanket with ponytail holders around the posts and shoving everything else into the underbelly. There I would hide-out with books and treasures in my own little world… biding my time until I was discovered.
Yup, definitely need more forts & teepees in my life.
